February’s offerings begin with The Four Meditative Postures mini-series. In the Seated Practices video, you’ll learn how to identify when to choose open or closed-hip seated postures, explore variations of each, and discover how props can help you ease into your meditative seat. Those who struggle to stay awake during seated practice may find 15-minutes of Standing Practice reinvigorating, offering a new set of benefits to a traditional body scan. The Supine Practice video offers a tip to help keep you awake even while lying down as well as 20-minutes of a guided, open-space meditation that you can try while lying on a mat, blanket, rug—or even a bed. Finally, this mini-series includes 15-minutes of Walking Practice that uses weight distribution during movement as its focal point, punctuated by phrases of metta, or lovingkindness.

SPECIAL OFFER: If you’re interested in purchasing the meditation bench featured in the Seated Practices video, please enjoy 10% off, courtesy of Emerging Green using discount code: Pramana10 through 04/30/2021 (11:59 PM PST).

The three-part Intro to the Namaskar mini-series begins by exploring the key components of each fundamental flow. Intro to Surya Namaskar A, or Sun Salutation A, begins with cultivating stability and creating balance, and builds toward asana practice as moving meditation to blend mindfulness of the body and breath to refine our ability to breathe through the transitions between postures, a defining characteristic of vinyasa yoga. Intro to Surya Namaskar B explores how to come into alignment in Utkatasana/Chair Pose in a way that feels authentic to your body’s unique anatomy, demonstrates how to lay the foundation for a wider stance in Virabhadrasana I/Warrior I, and offers a close look at chaturanga. Intro to Chandra Namaskar, the final hour-long video of the mini-series, makes an ideal evening practice, emphasizing gentle protection of the knees and lower back in kneeling postures, offering supportive approaches to Eka Pada Raja Kapotasana/Pigeon Pose, and ending with extended restorative asana.

This month’s hour-long meditation & journaling session is an invitation to refine our ability to give and receive love through the creation of our own metta phrases. “Using Bullet Journaling to Become Your Own Accountability Coach,” February’s 90-minute LIVE Journaling Workshop will bring our community together as we learn how to use our journals to keep track of our priorities and make progress toward achieving our goals. The live session will be recorded, but all participant information and input will be edited out for privacy before the link is shared and made available to subscribers for replay through the end of the month.

Optional props for this series include a writing journal, yoga mat, strap, 1-3 yoga blocks, blanket, and either a bolster, zafu/meditative cushion, or meditation bench.

Note: Your enrollment in this month-long series is a one-time payment (not a monthly subscription).
